I love this. I have it written in my bible and like to recite it from time to time.

Capture my heart again.
Father hold me. Hold me.
Everyone continues to make fun of him for saying this, and it’s so irritating to me.
First off, it is safe to assume that his use of “God” here is in reference to God the Father. God the Father, which is a different part of the trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit.)
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.” - Corinthians 13:14
See? Even in the bible, they are recognized as different parts to one whole God. Example: You never hear about the Holy Spirit being sent down to die for our sins, because JESUS, THE SON, was sent to die for our sins.
Also, when you win an award, you can make your acceptance speech and thank who ever you want. Good luck with that.
It’s not because I’m a Christian either. I don’t have an issue with someone saying they don’t believe in God or that their god is different from my own or anything like that. But saying “God Free” is just a little bit ridiculous to me.
I think it’s partially because, to me, that sort of implies that you believe that there is a god out there. I mean, I don’t make it a point to mention things that I’m free of that don’t exist. Of course I’m free of them, they aren’t real. So, if there is a god, the last thing I would want to be is free of them.
Now, I realize that when people say that, they most likely aren’t trying to imply that they believe in God and just don’t want anything to do with him (or maybe they are…who knows, I could be wrong.) I guess it’s just a trendy way to say “I don’t believe in God” but I think it’s foolish.
Just the personal opinion of a girl that is so thankful that she is not God Free.

Time to dust this off. I could use some conviction.
